Job Description

The PR Specialist is responsible for assisting the Director of Communications with crafting a positive image of the PXG brand through traditional PR, media relations and events.


  • Complete all media monitoring and reporting
  • Manage the press box and responded to requests for information from the media
  • Maintain the news section of
  • Assist with writing effective press releases, blog content and marketing emails
  • Assist with vetting requests for appearances, interviews, event participation, and branded assets
  • Assist with maintaining and updating company talking points
  • Assist with the development of story ideas and help pitch targeted media
  • Maintain and help develop new relationships with key industry and media influencers
  • Conduct research on individuals, organizations and vendors that come into contact with the company and provide background sheets
  • Take advantage of photo/video opportunities to gather content to post to PXG’s social media platforms
  • Assist with managing and executing promotional campaigns and projects
  • Assist with the development of promotional marketing materials
  • Identify opportunities and efficiency improvements
  • Constantly take initiative, think outside the box, anticipate needs
  • Keep abreast of the golf industry and competitive trends
  • Other tasks as directed

Experience and Education Required:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Sports Management or other pertinent field.
  • At least 1+ years’ media experience and/or event development with demonstrated proficiency in public relations practices

  • Working knowledge of media monitoring platforms such as Cison, Burrellesluce, Vocus, and iQmedia preferred
